Na peared in Ica on 18 September 1910, studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Lima, Specialty of Sculpture Artemio sculptor was a disciple of Ocaña, after 5 years of graduating from that institution, to travel to Europe (Paris, Rome) grant from the Peruvian government in the era of Gen. Oscar. R Benavides.

in Europe knows the famous sculptor Leo Leoni. With the knowledge acquired in his artistic journey in European cities returned to Peru, and starts a sculpture project in honor of José de San Martín, equestrian sculpture was placed in the Plaza de Armas in the city of Pisco, Ica, October 21 1954.
