- What do you look earlier, didactic tone or a good story?

"A good story, no doubt. A story for children to amuse or excite them or heating them in some way. If you also teach them something, icing on the cake.

- Today's children are not used everyday heroes, as opposed to movies or video games, books are laudable but difficult mission. Will they manage to convince the reader?

"The evidence has great power of conviction and 'You are my hero' tells the children something that is obvious but that should tell you from time to time, that their lives are full of achievements are constantly facing your fears and overcoming them, and that this equates with the fictional heroes who so admire.

- Although there are fantasy, the stories are basically everyday. Can capture child care without exaggerating the imagination?

"Kids like fantasy stories, but they also like, and I would especially like them, stories that recreate situations that are familiar and are featuring characters they can relate to.

- With this book back to pictures of one of its top artists, Gonzalo Izquierdo. Why?

-Gonzalo and I are friends. When I lived in Madrid we went out together and now I live in Logroño comes to visit frequently. From time to time we like to do a story together, and I delighted because his illustrations always improve my stories.

- You've written stories for children, books for young ... for all the early ages. What time frame a story known to a certain age?

"It's not the same as writing for children learning to read that for children aged 9 to read fluently. The age at which a story is directed depends on everything: the level of vocabulary, techniques and even humorous extension. Therefore, before drawing the first word of a story, meditate deeply for how old I am going to write. And until I have it clear not start writing it down.

- And who says' You are my hero "?

- My father and my grandparents. I remember when I was 15 I went by bus to town and sat down beside me an old man in a village near the mine and struck up conversation. I told him that was Ausejo, he said he knew many people there and asked me who my grandparents. I replied: "Maximum Chandro and Pius Ramírez." Exclaimed with admiration: "Damn! Well, as you look like them ...!». Being the grandson of farmers felt part of the aristocracy. Of the aristocracy of the good people.
