As background, I will talk to the FIC started as plays performed by students at the University of Guanajuato in the plazas of the city (the popular "snacks" of Cervantes). In 1972 the government took more seriously the activities of the festival and gave impetus to promote domestic tourism. Since then they have carried out 38 festivals.
Within a couple of weeks, I will have the opportunity to attend some events that will lead there ... and I'm very excited. This year will present a group representing my state, Queretaro, performing somersaults and complex stunts in his show " Vertige " in the Plaza San Fernando, 30 October.
Other shows that will give much to talk about is the interpretation Lithuanian " Faust" by Eimuntas Nekrosius in the main theater, " Le Grand Cirque Minuscule "by Anne Brulotte and Anne Lalancette, representing Quebec, Canada, and the unique presentation of French Pierre Bastien interpreting experimental music using unconventional instruments such as pulleys, plates, metronomes, etc.. ("Sounds Can Dance" in the auditorium of Mines on November 1).
Personally, the event that most strikes me is the concert of the famous Croatian pianist Ivo Pogorelich at the Teatro Juárez, also on 1 November. Among his repertoire are classic cuts from Mozart, Bach, Liszt, Scriabin, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Brahms and Sibelius. This event will delight all fans of classical music and solos piano.
